Elections

The Faculty Council is an elected council. Members are appointed as a result of elections. The LEG Election Committee organises elections for the student delegation in the council annually, and every two years for the staff representation.

Standing for election

The staff members of the Faculty Council have 10 seats, divided between the three Schools and the Faculty Service Organisation (FSO):

  • School of Law: 4 seats
  • School of Economics (U.S.E.): 2 seats
  • School of Governance (USG): 2 seats
  • Faculty Service Organisation (FSO): 2 seats

The student delegation of the Faculty Council has 10 seats, divided between the three Schools.

  • School of Law: 4 seats
  • School of Economics (U.S.E.): 3 seats
  • School of Governance (USG): 3 seats

How do you stand for election?

In May 2027, there will be elections for the student- and the staff delegation in the Faculty Council.

You can apply for one of the existing lists (by contacting the chairman of that list). You can also draw up your own list. The completed and signed lists (including the declarations of consent) have to be handed in digitally on [date to be announced] at 5 pm. via rebo.bestuurssecretariaat@uu.nl.

The Election Committee will prepare and organise the elections, based on the election regulations.
